1) I am good with socializing with people, i believe my strengths are being kind and understanding with those I meet. I aspire to be strong and confident, and be able to lead a group of people.
2) Im offering food "waste" to students from on campus restaurants for low costs.
3) I am offering it to college students.
4) Because we all love food. I want to give to people.
5) My core competencies are: my willingness to share.
I think these core elements can fit into a company or business because a CEO needs to be strong willed, with a knack for creativity and giving. The feedback i received was to look more into this idea, and how to expand it. I want to expand this idea by making it a college wide thing, where all kinds of colleges can be a part of this movement.

Hey Chloe! I love your idea but I think your processing of feedback was a little thin. If people suggested to “look more into this idea, and how to expand it” I think you could have gone a little deeper and described which campus restaurants would be your target “customers.” And specifically WHICH college students because not ALL college students are going hungry. I would suggest looking up the Field and Fork Pantry and seeing how your business could partner with them because they function to combat food insecurity.

I think in the past your idea has needed fleshing out with more of the delivery mechanics and the distribution of food, but with this idea napkin I can tell you have come a long way and have done your research as well. I also used this opportunity to flesh out my assignment as well and I feel as if it was instrumental in cultivating my idea further. I am happy that your idea is coming along well. Good luck!

Being that it is hard to flesh out the details being that you're one person and this is just a class, I enjoy the brevity of it all. You didn't talk about logistics because if you went too far into it, it would just be a lie. You talked about your vision and the facts that you know of.

This "Idea Napkin" you created summarizes the potential opportunity you described without going too far into specifics. Great Job.

ReplyDeleteI like the fact that you listed your core competency as your willingness to share. Though you are willing, it is rather difficult for Starbucks to approve of this idea due to company regulations and overall rules regarding distribution of extra goods. If I were you, I would try looking into companies in the area that approve of food distribution to get a better understanding of how you can make this happen.
