1) Daniel Kahneman's book Thinking Fast and Slow is about how we converse in the business setting, and outside if it. He wants the readers to broaden their horizons, and vocabulary, and hope to inspire them through the power of words.
2) The book enhanced what i am learning in this class because it put into perspective the power of speech, and words. Entrepreneurs need to use strong languages to help build their business.
3) A reading exercise. Perhaps something old fashioned, like a book report. Reading allows us to think more about the things around us.
4) Words have a lot of meaning behind them. We use them every day, and we can put power in our words with thoughts. Reading can help strengthen our minds, and Kahneman encourages readers to do so.

Hi Chloe! Great job on your post this week, it was extremely interesting to see your viewpoint on your book. I think that the concept of broadening your horizons is extremely important for this class and instrumental in order to do well. My book was called Cognitive surplus and it focused on how people use their spare time. I think some of the concepts in both of our books overlap especially in the broadening your view points aspect.
ReplyDeleteHello Chloe,
ReplyDelete“Thinking Fast and Slow” by Daniel Kahneman seems to cover core concepts of this course well. I agree that the power of speech is of significance in Principles of Entrepreneurship due to the role entrepreneurs take on in the world of business. Without power to your words, a proposal for a potential business may seem lackadaisical and that is not an impression one would want for their potential business. I think a reading exercise would be fitting in order to fully gain perspective provided to us in “Thinking Fast and Slow”.
Hi Chloe,
ReplyDeleteGreat job on this weeks blog post! Thinking Fast and Slow seems like a very interesting read. I chose to write about, "The Art of Social Media: Power Tips for Power Users," written by Guy Kawasaki. This option revolved around social media and its ability to grow a company if used properly. Overall, great work, I can't wait to read next weeks blog post!
