Existing Market
The future for my venture will consist of finding new ways to donate food to those in need. I would expand my venture outward, to Alachua county, and to shelters who are in need of extra food. I will ask bigger food companies, and grocery stores, of how I can use food waste to execute this idea.
New Market
In the new market, it would be difficult finding buyers to buy food waste, when they dont necessarily want "wasted" food. Perhaps i will try offering them to donate food, or have them help out on the food truck, rather than them being the buyers in the situation.

ReplyDeleteI admire that your existing market includes expansion of your venture. I believe that your new market would be difficult to execute. It has been troublesome trying to get Starbucks to donate their surplus foods. If they are at all alike to any other corporations, it is likely that those businesses may also refrain from donation of food. However, if you were to contact those who manage food trucks and distributing of goods, you may be able to find other sources where food can be donated to those in need.

Once running, I feel like this idea/venture will have a lot of momentum. I like how you said you would be wanting to expand outside of just Alachua county and partner up with some bigger restaurants/food companies.
Hey Chloe! I think that you have fleshed out your existing market very well! I think your market could continue to expand, and who knows, maybe you’ll have multiple food trucks circling Alachua County and serving all levels of students. However, I missed seeing what you thought potential customers thought about your existing and new markets. I have found that interviewing other people, although time consuming is pretty helpful to this process when I run out of ideas of where to go next.
