1) I intend to sell the Food Truck to students who are willing to continue the legacy, and want to continue giving food to students for little prices.
2) I have selected this, because i could not follow and keep up with my food truck after college. The food truck does not fit in my criteria of careers I want to follow for the next 5,10,20 years.
3) I think my exit strategy is basic, because to me its like a school project. It will last for however long I am in college, and then other students can take up the opportunity. Since starting at the university of Florida, I always believed students need more opportunities to get food for little or no prices. This is a solution that all students can see, even after i graduate.

Hey Chloe! I understand that this food truck is not what you want to do with your life but I think it’s important to consider how you can make your venture as sustainable as possible. If you just say, I’ll hand it off to whoever wants it, your venture could turn into something completely different. In exiting, it might be a good idea, in your last year(s) in college, to find a person with your same passion and vision to mentor and teach how you want the food truck to run.

ReplyDeleteThough food trucks were not your original intent, I believe that this is the easiest and most viable way to further develop the idea of distribution of food to those in need. I like the solution you have proposed and it truly is a necessity among our campus. The field and fork pantry exists, however, what if students are unable to gather to this location? With the introduction of food trucks, distribution will be even among campus and serve a great purpose.

ReplyDeleteWatching how your Idea has developed in transformed over time has been very interesting. Your exit strategy is probably for the best. A food truck is something that is hard to maintain, and it seems like it was not the original picture in your head when you though of the idea. However, this business could be a great start for your career. It will give you the much needed experience to pursue other careers or ventures. Overall, great work this week on your blog posts.
